I have tried a not so good script to clone this excelent site, but I think the solution I found handle the problem in a better way.

PressMark allows you to make your own del.icio.us using WordPress, yes WordPress! But PressMark is not a plugin, it is a deeply customized version of this CMS that works as del.icio.us does.

With PressMark, your users can submit links into it and tag them. As well as this feature, users can also categorize them as public or private.

How to install PressMark

As I wrote above, PressMark is simply a customized (very customized) version of the common WordPress package, so, to install PressMark is the same process than when you install WordPress. This script uses version 2.6 of WordPress as its base, which is not bad at all.

So, what´s FMyLife about? FMyLife.com is basically a site in which visitors can write/post short stories about everyday life. These stories are anonymously written for anyone who access the site, you don´t need to be registered to post, but every new story is in “pending” status until the administrators approve it.

That simple? Yes. Other basic feature the site has: every story could be commented. And user can access the site through Facebook Connect.

So, where is the FMyLife clone script?

The free clone script´s name speaks by itself: FMyClone. It has the basic functions of the FMyLife site: visitors can write new stories or comment.

Stories could be categorized and visitors will be able to see “Worst Compliment” and “Best Compliment” or by day, week or all time.

How to monetize this? I would choose ads, maybe you can start using Adsense, and as soon as your traffic increase, look for another possibilities.

Conclusion about the script

It has the main functionalities of FMyLife, and the most important: it´s FREE.

UPDATE (31/10/2009): The new 3.0 version of the script is now paid, for a reasonable price: $17, with much more features (thanks for the update Bob!).
